Mamaia international resort is the largest one on the Black Sea. Mamaia is the European version of Palm
Beach, having 8 km long and 100-250 m wide beaches of extremely
fine sand on the Black Sea shore.
Mamaia, resort of international fame, is
situated in SE extremity of Romania near Constanta, on a litoral
strip between the Black Sea and Lake Siutghiol.

| Visitor opinion: | "Mamaia - Miami Palm Beaches of the east Pros: Fine sand, sunny days (very rarely clouds), warm sea water 25C, cheap. Cons: Even if the services have improved constantly, don't expect western ones The Bottom Line: Very nice beaches, very sunny, modern hotels, cheap and lots to do. A paradise for FAMILIES, also very good for treatment using Gerovital and Pell Amar for over 50 ages. Mamaia - latin resort - exceeds in fun and night life, over 10 discos, many bars and nice restaurants. It's hard to find at your tour operator an offer about Mamaia. Why? Even if in communist epoch was the best Eastern Seaside destination, also the place where the Easterns met their Western family members or friends, between 1990-2000 this destination was withdrawn from tour operators catalogue. Causes? Romania was one of the poorest countries in Europe and also the travel management was weak. But I higly recommend you this resort. " |

spend my vacation in Mamaia resort few days ago. The longest belvedere marine avenue along the beach with plenty of restaurants, taverns and shops was an enchanting walk every evening. Savoy Hotel where I stayed was good. The beach has fine sand. I recommend the restaurants in "Satul Vacanta" with diverse regional romanian food.and folklorique shows. I made some trips in Constanta for shopping (good value for money) and went to the Casino." |

WAS A GREAT PLACE TO SPEND A WEEK. I stayed at the hotel Central,
staff there was VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. It was also NICE THAT THEY
LIKED AMERICANS. I am a school teacher and have been lucky enough
to have travelled all over EUROPE. I WOULD, WITHOUT HESITATION, SAY THAT THE ROMANIAN PEOPLE WERE THE BEST, FRIENDLIEST, MOST GENUINE PEOPLE I HAVE EVER MET. I was in Mamaia the last week of July, 2002, the water was clean and very warm. The waves not huge but on some days big enough to body surf. Our room, I was with my brother, was 60 dollars{U.S} a night, good value. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOTH MAMAIA AND ROMANIA,CHECK IT OUT,YOU'LL BE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!" |
